Ming and Justin brought Bogart home for Christmas (incidentally, Bogart is named after Humphrey, not the monster in Harry Potter). He is approximately 75% Lab, 25% take-your-pick (guesses have ranged from Dalmatian, pit bull, pointer and greyhound). My mom is not a pet person at all, but she adores Bogart and pretty much let him have free run of her house (which is good because he was very nosy and was always trotting off to see what was happening elsewhere).
Bogart likes to use Ming as a pillow.
The age-old custom of putting stuff on the dog's head to make him look silly.
Bogart models the little booties that my mom bought him as a Christmas present. I spent quite a bit of time tossing that (saliva-coated) orange ball for him to fetch.
Bogart made it a habit to check out the comfortableness of every cushioned surface, especially if Ming was already sitting there.
Bogart loves car rides, especially in Yin's car. Apparently he gets excited when he goes by a grey car because he thinks that it's Yin's car and he's going for a ride.
Bogart liked to hang out with Yin when she was reading on this couch.
My mom would like you to note the cute little booties on Bogart's feet.
Bogart exposes one ear so as to enhance his ability to play catch-the-ball.
(I'm totally making that up.)

Bogart is waiting impatiently for Justin to throw the ball again. The implement that Justin is holding helps him throw the ball farther for more running-after-the-ball fun. (Bogart is a wee bit obsessed with playing fetch the ball.)
(Justin told me that I do not throw like a girl. I guess that all those boxing and weight lifting sessions have paid off. Woohoo!)

thanks for posting those pics of boggart and the family. am looking forward to the gift unwrapping session.
went to the beach for boxing day and a swim in the ocean... SALTY!
damn, that's one cute pooch. i dig the booties.
Lynn: The highlight of our Boxing Day was watching Jake the Neurotic Dog try to mount Bogart at Nancy's house (when he wasn't getting himself thoroughly wet in the mini-pool in the backyard). Nancy called Jake a bad dog and told him not to dominate house guests, that he was supposed to let house guests dominate him...
Mark: Bogart is even cuter in person (especially when he flops down beside you and uses your leg as a pillow, or when he stares at you beseechingly as he begs for food). He doesn't like the booties, though, and sulks mightily when they're put on his feet.
Bogart is so cute! I love the booties!
